PC Remote for Spotify and Youtube?

I use my PC as my main music center as it has good speakers, and usually I play music from mp3's I have downloaded, or on spotify or youtube playlists etc. However when sitting on the couch i have to get up to skip to the next track or change the volume. I just want a very simple little remote that connects to my pc and can skip track or increase volume - just like the buttons on the top of my keyboard do.

CAn anyone point me to something that does this? Preferably something really simple i dont need 100 buttons...

Failing that you could remote desktop to your pc from your phone (via Chrome).

I'd prefer an actual physical remote - not a phone app.

Not quite a remote, but it's small and does the trick - I've got one of these and it's very handy.

Spotify on your phone acts as a remote control when playing spotify on your laptop.

On your phone in spotify go to settings and connect a device.

YouTube can do the same thing, go to Youtube.com/TV on the PC an pair it with the phone.

I know you said you didn't want an app buts its a fairly handy fix for you

I've had issues getting browser based players to recognise media keys (which a remote would emulate) even with plugins to act as an intermediary layer. Something to bear in mind.
