Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

UEFA are wonderfully corrupt, is anyone surprised with their dictats?

I'd say Ronaldo has spent most of half-time trying to convince Santos to let him take the 5th peno.

Like in the last peno shootout?

    Oh wait..........

    Wales Wales Wales!!!!

    Come on to ****

Mad how people watching the same game have complete opposit opinions.
I'm enjoying it so far, good came. An early goal in 2nd half would do wonders

I'm enjoying the match but this thread is trying my patience!

    How's WMM holding up?

    COME ON WALES!

Looks like I was wrong about that one, penalties are sometimes given for that alright. Based on past performance the ref probably thought it was a dive though.

Kinda worrying for football that Howard Webb said it wasn't a penalty. He had his arm around him and pulling his shirt! Exactly the kind of thing that needs to be stamped out of the game.

I want Wales to win but still...

Why are both teams in their away strips?

    Kidding.

    :D

Webb has given penalties for far far less than that

    Although they usually involved cash

Could Portugal not turn their shirts inside out or make Wales play in skins :D

The kits discussion is a bit weird.......and a little worrying.

I know the kit discussion's been done....but I'd love a running top in the colour Portugal are wearing....it's impossible to get anywhere (slightly off-topic I know...I'll shut up now and be a good girl and go back to watching that bloke who used to play Batman)

Great header. Welsh can feel unlucky. Never a free which led to the corner.

You can realise how poor a game is when the kit is the main topic.
We need someone with balls here.
    Either
    a) the ref grows a pair and gives a spotter for the dragging or
    b) some player takes bloody chance outside of the "system"

    or Ronaldo might score :(

There was odds on Allen to nutmeg a player. Nearly went for it glad now

Lucky not to concede a penalty in the first half etc.

Yet another winner? Has he got many winners for Portugal so far in this competition?

What a strange point to try and make. Yes, when Ronaldo scores another winner it will be the latest in a long, long, long line of match winning goals. I thought that was obvious.

Does anybody know why the ref is wearing red? :-)
I think it's so he doesn't clash with with the players. If he was wearing yellow it probably would clash with the Wales keeper.

Jesus lads, it's not hard to understand!

    - Wales are the designated away team (Portugal v Wales). Their red home kit clashes with Portugals dark red home kit.
    - Wales change to their dark away kit, which is also deemed to clash with Portugals dark red home kit.
    - Wales (like all International sides) don't have a 3rd kit.
    - Portugal also have to change to their away kit to solve the issue.
But does the Portugal away kit clash with the Wales homekit? I think they should have done it that way.

What is the rule regarding the goalkeepers kit? Do goalkeepers also have home and away kits or what is the story?

Also what happens if all kit combinations clash. 2 teams each with 2 kits. 4 possible combinations. But all clash with each other. And it can't be predicted until the final is actually drawn. Would they make a third kit on such short notice?

Has anyone noticed the Wales goalkeeper clashes with the outfield players?

surprised his team mates celebrated with him given how much they hate him and his petulant wall hitting ways
