Today I got a 1000cp (exactly) Vaporeon and a 750cp Rhydon. Also got a Geodude from a 5k egg so that was pretty nice. Only hunted for about 2 hours today so pretty happy with what I got. Anyone know if Rhydons are considered rare because when I seen it I was pretty ecstatic!

Seems to be pretty rare. I've yet to see one in the wild, though I've seen gyms in Galway with Snorlax in them.

I don't know that much about Go yet, but we're finding a good few pokemon I'm going to assume are fairly rare from the normal games

Dratini was found near home, as well as Graveller

Obviously very few spawn at all but generally what its what i can make is good picks

I have noticed that Pikachu is the only one who says its name when you tap on it, the rest make weird computerised noises.

Hatched a Rhyhorn, reached level twelve and finally powered up my first Pokemon to over 500CP. The gyms will be quaking! There was some big bird, maybe one of the un dos tres things, silhouetted but I went up and down every street and it never and it never showed up. The tracker makes no real sense, does it?

There's no Pokemon's around Lahinch Co Clare.
I was out fishing the Inagh estuary with my son this evening.
We walked from the center of Lahinch all the way to the river mouth not one Pokemon to be seen.

Not weird computerised noises, the original gameboy sounds! I was so happy when I heard them!

Incense only works for the person who uses it, right? Otherwise you could walk in a group and each one in turn use an incense so it lasts for hours on end.
So are the incense hatched pokemons geodependent or could you get anything in theory?

I'm still trying to figure out the max speed for hatching. I overlaid a GPS speedometer widget on PoGo and jogged about a kilometre. I was averaging around 10kph with peaks and troughs at 14 and 8 and the egg distance went up 300m. Granted, GPS speed measurement is hopelessly inadequate at such low speeds over such short distances and running in a square but I imagine both apps use the same technology. First rough guess is below 10 kph should count.

Next I'll try speedwalking in a straight line for 2km and see if that holds up. It's 35 degrees and humid as hell so might wait till this evening.

It's very awkward and a bit dangerous to cycle at that speed, but a kid's scooter might do the job. Will give that a go.

Managed to hatch a doduo and hatch-evolve a nidorina in the process so that was a nice bonus. 38 different pokedex entries now.

I've read that distance is measured 'as the crow flies' when it pings your current location it works out the distance from your previous one. So if you travel in a tight square it likely won't pick up your actual distance travelled, but in a straight line it should.

Iv just hit level 15 have caught 35/37.
Have only been going to the one area citywest business park. As it's the only place within walking distance that has a few pokestops.
And my battery lasts for less than an hour of movement playing pokemon go.

If I were to go to the square or tallaght village.
Is there any places where I could get a top up charge while there?

Ask another pokemoner if they have an emergency battery pack.

Transfer them to Professor Willow, when you select one of your pokemon it should open their stats. There's option down the bottom to transfer you'll get a candy for that pokemon in exchange. Only trnasfer your lowest CP pokemon

Walking the dog and playing this is difficult for pokeballs wasted so many on a Weedle. Every time I would go to throw he would pull on the lead. On the positive side caught 3 mankeys, hypono crabby and couple of others. A lot more productive in the local park then the usual route.

Yeah, incense only works for the person using it, you'd have to use lures to get a group getting the effect.

Just deleted it. Quite repetitive and no skill involved. I'm on the wagon!

Seen a wee lad on a segway playing and he looked absolutely delighted with life. I may invest in one...
