Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I noticed this before. There's a new kick off rule in place now?

It was evra actually - not Pogba

    Fair enough.

Thought he'd gone on onw of his insane "nothing player" rants again.

  • Emre could be the weak link for Germany
    France pressing him already

  • Great strength from Pogba

    Pogba is class
    Matuidi is class
    Greizmann is class

Two awful crosses over to Kimmich, giving him no chance.

This game is fascinating, can't call it.

Germany attacking down the left quite a lot. Must have identified Sagna as a weak link.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,305 ✭✭✭Alonso77

The great George Hamilton keeps mixing up Draxler and Can.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,868 ✭✭✭Andersonisgod

Germany purring, Kimmich is so darn good and Germany finding plenty of space in behind Matuidi and Pogba who, despite being a double pivot, don't defend space well.

German blitzkrieg kicking into gear now.

Was definitely a foul but did he get him outside the area?

France will need to bring Kante on. Germany are all over this game now.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,868 ✭✭✭Andersonisgod

I'm not one for bigging up Real Madrid players but it's been a Kroos masterclass for 22 minutes in a 4-3-3 too.

Kimmich looks very good, not heard much about him

I can't hide my disappointment with the lack of Weigl. Hummels is a huge miss too defensively both also for Germany's build up play. Not sure how Can will do in this game, especially as Germany are likely to dictate possession. That being said I've got a lot of faith in this generation of German players.

France opt to keep Pogba in a midfield 2 which Deschamps was reluctant to do at the start of the tournament. It does facilitate Griezmann playing behind the striker though which is where he is best used in this team. I'm not sold on Matuidi, and Pogba particularly, being able to protect the space between lines which no side is as adept at finding in international football as Germany.

Prediction: Germany to win it all.

The reason for this is Didier bows to public pressure

If Pogba doesnt have a wonder game the press go mad

France has a super biased towards white people press

Pogba gets 90% of the hate

Didier is a terrible coach who cares to much of public perception

If it was a proper coach in the ilk of Pep/Jose/Fergie/Conte

    Hed never have been dropped

France have been poor. How is Sissoko getting game time? Mental stuff.

How do you come to the decision not to play Kante?

    German keeper earning his wages

  • Tbf to Can

He is doing well in attack

    Germany playing lovely football

How do you come to the decision not to play Kante?

You think that players playing well in a double pivot vs Iceland makes you capable of doing that job against a proper top level team. It doesn't and the 2 lads are struggling.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,404 ✭✭✭✭Vicxas

Don't think Can will be third choice if this display continues.

  • Class so far from sweini

If only we could keep him fit!!
