Galway traffic [commute to B-sloe from city locations]

Hey I'm working in Ballinasloe and am looking to live in Galway and commuting. I was looking at apartments in dun na Coiribe and in sailin and was wondering if there would be a big difference with the traffic in the morning from each of these at around 8am??

Most traffic will be towards the city but in essence: the closer to the motorway the better, don't live across the river.
