    From Cyclingnews live ticker:
Thibaut Pinot (FDJ) has been dropped by the large group of favourites and he looks to be in real trouble. As Irish footballer-cum-pundit Keith Andrews would put it, Pinot looks like he's been caught on the travelator in Gladiators. It will be difficult to recover from this.

Must be one of the great feelings for Cummings there - well ahead, a strong descender flying down the mountain to, barring accident, certain victory.

'Thankfully there were no Stunderthorms today'

Great stuff from Cummings. Take that British Cycling.

I wonder if someone had their thumb tacks out again causing punctures at the TdF.

It's been some race so far for Dimension Data with Cav and now Cummings.

Wtf pinot... have fdj drive at the front for you then just collapse and lose 3-4 mins

I had to laugh at the photographer trying to get a few pics of the riders trying to get through under the flamme rouge, and then copping on that he should probably help lift it up!!

What a season so far for Cummings. Stage wins in Tirreno-Adriatico, Tour of the Basque Country, the Dauphiné, and now le Tour.

I wonder what would the Yates twins' astrology readings have said about the year ahead a while back. "I see some very strange and disturbing alignments."

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,426 ✭✭✭✭dastardly00

So the provisional results have Adam Yates finishing in 73rd place, 3'39" behind Froome, Quintana, Valverde etc. I hope the results will be amended.

The GC goes as far as 156 - Iljo Krisse.. does that mean there were a load of riders eliminated. Sam Bennetts group were 21mins down..

Glad (almost) everyone emerged unscathed from the flamme rouge collapsing. Was pissing myself laughing at twitter at work :pac:

Maybe the gc hasn't been updated but Bennett was 188 on the stage not on GC.
GC goes as far as 156 which is Keisse.

Yeah it's a bit odd that they still haven't the full GC updated. Shouldn't be any of any concern though as it'd be all over Cyclingnews, Twitter etc.

I feel sorry for Thibaut Pinot :(
I simply didn't have the legs. There's no need to look for an excuse. That’s three times that I’ve come to the Pyrenees and lost ground. That's it,” he said. “It's a season that’s almost gone up in smoke. The Tour is the highlight of the season and now on the first mountain stage, the objective is dead. We'll see what happens tomorrow, but if it's like today, there won't be any surprise. After two kilometres of the Aspin I realized I was not at my best.
