Best mp3 player over 100gb?

Just wondering can anyone help me figure out which large mp3 player is the best to buy (size, cost etc). My iPod classic was stolen a while ago and its some shame that apple stopped making them! I'm looking at the iPod touch 128gb but its a bit steep at €469! I don't know much about mp3 players beyond apple. I literally just want something to listen to music on, don't care about camera etc. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

A smartphone + 128GB sdhc card. Newer handsets support them.

I've had that suggested to me but would the battery not be useless on a smart phone if all it was used for was music? Also id prefer a proper music menu/layout like an mp3 player would have.

Poweramp app has a very good layout, its what i use with a galaxy s5 and 128gb sd card.

If you're looking for a dedicated DAP, try any of the Fiio range such as the fiio x1.

Have had a friend suggest fiio to me. He said you can add SD cards to them too which is ideal. I will look into it more during the week. Thanks very much!

Can't fault the xduoo x3 you have down as a curve ball. I have 2x128gb micro sd cards in mine and with rockbox, it makes it a joy to use.

Think I'm going to get the FiiO x3. Looks a very good deal. Just wondering, as I'm a bit confused from reading reviews on amazon... will it play normally on speakers/hooked up to the car radio does anyone know? If it does I'll be ordering it tomorrow! Thanks!

AFAIK if it's running 3.5mm -> 3.5mm cable from X3 to radio then I don't see why it wouldn't!

Amazon. The fiio, the 128gb card and earphones for around €240 delivered. Not bad considering what others charge for much smaller!
