Any team winning would be worse team to do so since Greece. Spain won it in 2008 and 2012, they were brilliant team and miles ahead of any teams that played in this tournament, at least miles better than 2 finalists.

I wouldn't lump Portugal's approach/games in as reflective of the tournament. Even the entertaining game, the Hungary one - they 'settled' for a draw in that one too.

As dramatic as penalties are, it is too easy for sides to settle for them from the start. Group games are the most exciting for that reason.
