Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Big problem with moths in the stadium and a BBC reporter is saying they have vacuum cleaners to use on them if it gets too much.

BBC just showed a few images there, **** me thats a lot of moths!

BBC just showed all the moths on the pitch...whoever left the lights on is in trouble!!!ðŸ˜႒

Wonder how much the extra day's rest benefit the Portuguese. Thursday to Sunday is not a great deal of time to recover.

Nonsense, both of these teams have world class players in them. I like many of the players.
    How exactly are they "evils"???

And the tournament has been very entertaining. I enjoyed most of the games. Even some of the 0-0 matches were excellent. Portugal v Austria for example, what a game that was, had everything except goals.

One team has a few @r$€;holes and the other I've a problem with their fickle fans. Sure yes it's been entertaining in parts but the standard of football hasn't been very good overall. There's been no outstanding team. Portugal have been poor and have had easy matches bar the Croatia game. Which they only just won at the death of extra time.

The one time you want Will Griggs there. He'd sort it.

Is that why he was picked by NI? To deal with infestations?

Every team has arsholes. And a lot of teams have fickle fans, even the best fans in the world are fickle(look at the times landsdowne road is half full)....

Standard of football, whilst you have a point. I cant think of one competition that had a high standard. Even the champions league has some very poor games. Many in the media and online said world cup 2010 and 2014 were poor.

And think back to other tournaments, what was a good standard???

I cant believe he said Lloris is a keeper who doesnt leave his line, even for Spurs.

Say that to a tennis player who goes out there and plays for 4 hours and get up next day to play again.
    Footballers are a bit soft.

True, the game is often won by very tight margins though.

Not sure whose side to take tonight.. wish it would be more of the France side as they "deserved it" more.. but I'm afraid it goes to Portugal facebook-tongue-out-emoticon.png

Anybody remember how the French got a real bad deal in the RWC final when facing the hosts New Zealand after they had their own tragedy (Earthquake).

This is how I think Portugal will feel after tonight.

They're an effective side. They could put holes in any defence.

    Especially a blanket defence!

    The keeper was excellent.
Sietaridis did a great man marking job on anyone he was told to mark.
Dellas and Kapsis were great at the back
Zagorakis,Karagounis and Basinas were top class in midfield
    Charisteas had a great tournament.

And overall they were brilliantly organised by a great manager.

They actually had a half decent side so looking back it wasn't as massive a shock as it maybe initially appeared.

Maybe it's just me but could they not just can this sh1te and get on with the football? Could never understand these pre game shows. I wouldn't buy a ticket to go see Guetta so why would I want to watch him before a game?

It's a step up from the local pipe band though.

Ah it wasn't that bad, it is the final after all and was quite short.

I thought the stadium looked great for the finale.
