Renting a property from Dublin Lettings without paying a Holding Lease?

To be more specific, has anyone successfully rented a property from DublinLettings without paying their Holding Deposit? They want 100% first Month's rent as a holding deposit, they will then check references and see about our suitability for the property. Meanwhile any number of other people can also pay the holding…

They want 100% first Month's rent as a holding deposit, they will then check references and see about our suitability for the property. Meanwhile any number of other people can also pay the holding deposit.

They do say its not necessary to pay it, but it is implied you will be viewed less favourably.
