When you log onto the router via a browser, what does it report under wireless?

Graphical User Interface i.e what you see on the web page.

If it's enabled and the led is off then it hints at a possible hardware problem or a physical wifi switch is set to off.

Did u reboot the router?I see you already tried

If a upc/v media router kicks the bucket are they obliged to replace it?

Turns out virgin media had it disabled from their end after the outage last week.a phone call fixed it.
    Thanks for the replies.
