I have a Vector subwoofer, I think it is a VW-8, which I bought from Richer Sounds a number of years ago, out of warranty, what would the cost to fix and reason as to why no power goes to the subwoofer? I wouldn't have had it on much at all as herself doesn't like the loud sound so it would only have been on occasionally.

    Hadoken13,

apologies for the delay getting back to you - we have sold 100's of the VW8 and generally they have been really reliable.

Have you had a look at the fuse - this can sometimes blow and the unit appears dead!

Have a look and revert - if this doesnt work just give us a shout and we can check out the replacement board cost / availability for you,

Thanks again and keep us posted,

    Hi John,

    No problem.

Forgot to put down that I checked the fuse, even replaced with a working fuse. No power at all.

    Hadoken,

sounds like it will need to come back into the emergency ward at the RS Belfast critical care unit..

If you send it to us we will check it out for you and revert with update ( We may have a donor unit that we could use to repair your unit pretty cost effectively )

    Hi John,

I was trying to see if one of our Belfast clients could deliver it to your store. I will get a delivery cost and see if it's worth sending back.

    Hi John,

That's no problem, let me know if you get sorted.
