No offence and don't mean to post something that goes against the charter but that looks like a ball bag

Like seriously, you have that on a bike at night and it looks like you have a radioactive ball sack hanging under the saddle :D

The very idea of such a bike light is simply nuts.

They were originally marketed as novelty ball bag lights, IIRC. Maybe they thought they'd sell more as "heart-shaped" lights.

I've bike balls on my hybrid/commuter bike :pac:

They're a laugh and get a few comments, good if you don't take your commuting too seriously :D

OP I know you're having a laugh, but if you want serious answers here goes ~ yes they're very bright and you can choose between intermittent or continuous, but I prefer to have my balls flashing :)

And yes they swing about too :)

So it would appear that the general consensus is that this light is definitely not heart shaped..............

Is this what happens when you descend like froome?

  • Registered Users Posts: 22,311 ✭✭✭✭endacl

Do they hang low? Do they waggle to and fro? Can you tie them in a knot? Can you tie them in a bow?

    If not, I'm out.

Do you think they are 1) bright enough
    They are bright enough
    2) able to withstand jostling/rocking/braking?
I seen a pair while riding through town and they seemed to be able to take it.

They are not heart shaped though, my reply to question 2 was serious but there seems to be no way of responding that does not end in atrocious innuendo.

You do look like your glowing red balls could take it, riding around town like that. I am just not that cyclist anymore, fair play to ya.

OP just to get back to you ~ in case size matters.

    I took a photo of my lights alongside some home items for a comparison;

They say size doesn't matter, but you don't want 'em too big either :)

They'd be more suitable on your Christmas tree.
