Looking to try my first race and I have a question about the general event details someone might be able to help me with.

    Take this one for example:

    https://cyclingireland.azolve.com/portal/Moreeventdetails.aspx?EventId=214140

Date Race Stage All Race Types KM Miles Category Sign On Start Time Map
    24/07/2016 1 1 A4 51 31.7 Road 10.00 12.00
    24/07/2016 2 1 U16,U14,U12 17 10.6 Road 10.00 12.00
    24/07/2016 3 1 Women 51 31.7 Road 10.00 14.00
    24/07/2016 4 1 APlus,A1,A2,A3,Junior 83 51.6 Road 10.00 14.00

Consider race 4, the 'All Race Types' section, where you have 'APlus, A1, A2, A3, Junior83'. Does that mean that anyone from those categories could enter?

Also, looking at race 1 and 2, since those 2 races have the same start time, are they both combined?

    Thanks

well if it's your first road race you more than likely have an A4 licence and can only therefore ride the A4 race at 10am

Or maybe you're an underage rider?

Yes I have an A4 but so will go for 10 am. But my 2 questions above - can you explain?

    A4 is a separate race.
The underage races start immediately after A4, but don't race against them.
Sorry first question: Yes, anybody with an appropriate licence can partake
83 K is the distance for that race

sorry, are you coming at this as an A4 lady rider ?

I'd imagine the A3 lady riders will actually do the 80kms as well if that's your main question

whatever her reputation is or what she's done in the past with you or whomever is of no concern here. we are forgiving and accepting of sins of the past.

The race starts at 12 by the way. Just in case you're warming up at 9.30.
