Well it's entirely up to you. It's not a bad car if you like a Golf.

Forget about the quoted 190 Kms, you'll get 120-140 depending on the weather conditions and terrain and driving style, speed etc.

Remember there are better electrics appearing in 2018 with a lot more range but they will cost more than this car you're looking at.

I'd be low balling an offer of 15 k on that electric golf , and feck them if they're insulted,

my logic being whoever buys it is going to suffer from product obsolescence and consequential depreciation , so let the dealer and VW's take the hit.

any opinions on this car - i drive mostly urban, about 90% of my drives are 10KM or so.

Putting the cost aside, it is a lovely car to drive. They have been using it for demos (I think they are the only VW authorised EV dealer in Ireland), so has had a lot of people in it.

They had in long mile branch originally, but seems to sit parked up most of the time at the charge point since the move out in Liffey valley.

IIRC the eGolf2 was originally due this year end/ early 2017 so probably why they want rid.

They are a nice car, lovely drive and lots of power. The frustrating part is that the range indicator (key piece of technology on any EV) just bases the range off what's in the battery x theoretical range / km traveled, to get the 190km. It doesn't adapt to what is actually being achieved and show a more realistic 120km. How VW ever allowed such software out the door is beyond me.
