No Signal to Monitor after plugging an audio cable into line out port

    Hi,

    Looking for some advice.

    My PC monitor suddenly is getting no signal after I plugged in an audio cable into the line out port. The audio cable was coming from a dj mixer, I was plugging it in to record a mix on the PC. The mixer and 2 decks were powered on at the time.

    I've turned off the PC and turned it on again multiple times but still nothing on the screen. Plugged out the vga cable also and back in but no joy.

    Also one of the DVD drives started making weird noises when this happened. I plugged the power out of the back of the drive also.

    Sounds like some sort of power surge maybe. Anyone any ideas?

    Left it unplugged for 30 minutes or so and it's working now.
