Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Filling nail holes in skirting

Recently had new skirting and architrave put in a bedroom- I was going to get a painter in to paint them (we have a few other bits that need doing too), but I'll just do it myself. I caulked the gaps between the boards and the walls today, but didn't do at the nail holes yet- should I use caulk or pollyfilla? Or something else? Thanks!

Unless they are very small holes l'd use pollyfilla .

Caulk will sink but if you over fill the holes a little with pollyfilla then sand them down when the fillers dry it will be a much better finish .

Likely the fitter used a 2nd fix pin gun so the holes would likely be very small. If so, as FF has said, then caulk'll be fine.

There's not too many holes anyhow, I'd say he used mainly glue, our house it really old, and I don't think there was too much to stick nails into. I bought some polyfilla yesterday. May as well use it now!
