So our little girl has the most sensitive skin.'sje recently broke out in an awful rash which I thought was eczema. But now I'm 100% sure it's due to the suncream we were using. So we changed suncream and had to put some on yesterday. And again she was up all night with a rash and scratching. I try to cover her up with a hat and long sleeves etc... But today it's just so hot and I don't want to have to put full pants on her.

We've tried, la roch posey (the latest culprit)
    Garnier, Amber soleir and Nivea.

Any recommendations for extremely sensitive skin? Tjanks

Pity, I was going to suggest La Roche Posey. Our daughter is the same, Garnier caused a terrible rash.

Her legs still get itchy with the la roche, but it goes away after a few minutes and there's no rash. Presumably you're giving her a bath/shower before bed to wash it all off?

Maybe ask in the local pharmacy - presumably there are specialist creams you can get for people with eczema, psoriasis, etc. Won't be cheap, but luckily we don't get much sun!

Yes thanks. I only said that yesterday "thank god we live here and not New Zealand" where I'm originally from.

We gave her a bath last night before bed but the poor pet was up all night scratching and she has another terrible rash this morning. We didn't put suncream on her the last 2 weeks and her skin has been perfect. But it was so sunny yesterday I didn't want to risk her legs getting burnt :(

I use La Roche for my sensitive little one but maybe try Moogoo?

I have very sensitive skin, as does one of my children, and I've used the Aldi suncream with no issues at all the past couple of summers. I was pleasantly impressed having shelled out a LOT on the La Roche Pousay ones for a long time.

We are using this Bioderma one. S reacted to all the other ones but is okayish with this. We are mainly using uv clothes, keeping her out of the sun in the middle of the day and using suncream only when on beach etc.

We use Boots own brand kids,Caldescene or Aveeno protect and hydrate.
The kids or I have reacted to most of the others.

    http://www.inishpharmacy.com/p/caldesun-for-kids-spf50-protection-water-resistant-200ml/400803 is great.

http://www.aveeno.com/product/aveeno+protect+-+hydrate-+lotion+sunscreen+with+broad+spectrum+spf+30.do leaves your skin lovely and soft and is brilliant but I have no idea if you can get it in Ireland.

Thanks everyone, will try some of the products ye advise. Going to try the aveeno one first if I can manage to get it. We use aveeno products on her in the bath as they are the only products that don't bring her out in a rash. I didn't realise they did a suncream. Fingers crossed I can order it somewhere! Thanks a million all.

If it's absolutely necessary to have them in the sun uncovered, then moogoo all the way.

Sligo when I was buying sun cream a few weeks ago I saw once can't remember the name. You apparently only apply it once but lady in shop said apply it more than once on kids. It was factor 50. She said it was for very sensitive skin. It was the dearest cream there maybe €25ish.

On a separate note I love the boots one and Nivea one neither has wrecked any clothes. My sis bought one that goes on blue and it destroyed the neck of my son's white t shirt :(

Hamilton sunscreen is amazing. They cater for everything. It's austrailian I think but there is stockists in ireland. Highly recommended it. They have one specifically for sensitive toddler skin, and babies too. It's amazing.

The only sunscreen I've ever been happy with is from the Australian cancer council. Their products are fantastic, but you have to import them yourself. I've never used their sensitive products, so I can't recommend them. But based on the quality of their other products it could be worth trying out. I use their children's SPF50+ on my kids.

Piz Bruin ALLERGY is the only one that is ok with my kids. Must be the ALLergy one though.

    What factor sligo1?

My eldest has sensitive skin, excema etc. We used to have trouble with rashes on all factor 50's i tried on her as a baby.

I was told by her dermatologist that the factor 50 have an ingredient which her skin reacts to. On their advice we went to factor 30 and more shade /less exposure. No midday sun, big floppy sun hat etc. Grand since.

Ok pwurple, thanks for that! Yes we have only tried factor 50... So perhaps we will try a factor 30. I haven't really had a lot of time to go looking around the last week but tried a couple of pharmacys and neither has the aveeno suncream. We have just been putting floppy hats, leggings and long sleeve tops on her :(. Pity because we have the most gorgeous sun dresses for her but I'm afraid she will burn in them :(. Will try factor 30 :). Mind you... It not like it'll be needed massively if this rain keeps up!

Was just going to post about the factor 50 thing too. We have been told use 30 and reapply more often. Also make sure she's not suffering from prickly heat rash. My little niece's skin is constantly irritated but my sister insists on putting a vest every day even on the hottest days. Poor thing must be roasting and sweating buckets. I'd love to see her run around with lighter clothing for a couple of days
