Here is my score with my new 6900 XT. I haven't figured out how to overclock using MPT yet, as it keeps crashing. I had it down to a T on my old 5700 XT and was in the top 10 in the world at one stage. This score is using stock settings but basic overclocking within spec. I have a refence model and had with my 5700 XT and replaced the thermal pad with paste on that. I'm pretty sure they are using a thermal pad on these too but it cost a lot and I'm not willing to open it up just to get better scores.

    Overall Score: 17837

    Graphics Score: 19722

    CPU Score: 11571

Fair play, you have optimised the **** out of that:P

Very nice CPU score, especialy with a 3XXX ryzren, ive been tempted to push mine a bit more but the older i get the more i want to optimise for noise levels but once the GPU is in check temps are usually ok for CPU,i reckon 1.35v may be good for 5Ghz or even 5.1 for my 9700K.

I might trying going the other way with the 3080,seeing what voltage it takes to run 2000Mhz say,but ultimately ill run a much cooler profile 24/7 but maybe for a bench

That CPU clock and score is just for benchmarks and wouldn't be stable enough to use day to day. The thermal pad on the GPU would be lowering my scores also and I do not know why AMD keep using them these days since the first Navi was launched as we all know paste is better but doesn't last as long as a thermal pad.

Still, thats a nice score even for a bench for that cpu in my book.

Not massively impressed by the 3080 FE tbh,its good but what they were thinking with the stock profile i don't know. Just a tad undervolting and locking the max boost and it changes totally how the cards performs ie real quiet while performing even better, may be the silicon lottery and based on my chip but basically i can't see a down side and I've a lot of potential tuning to do

Maybe a few hundred extra in time spy,if I was to guess maybe an extra 500points max but who know.

Lockdown means I ain't got much else to do:P

    14 035 - Overall
    17 515 - GPU Score - 3080 FE with a slight undervolt
    6 602 - CPU Score - Ryzen 5 3600 running bone stock

CPU is killing me but I've been holding off on upgrading until the next gen, as there's not much point in upgrading to a 5800x or the likes with this lacklustre b450m-a board, as the VRM cooling is woeful, hence why I'm running stock speeds atm.

do you guys pay for 3dMark?

There is a demo version free on steam. The Timespy benchmark is all you can run on it.

Yea I bought it years ago. Totally worth it.

edit: Just thinking more about this. I bought it on sale one time.

And the worst part about that is you have to watch a demo before you run the benchmark heating up the GPU so you most likely will get a lower score.

On the retail version can you choose to preform specific benchmarking ie. just testing the CPU or just the GPU ?

    In DX11 Firestrike demo version:

    Overall
    35379

    Graphics score
    54 632

    Physics score
    23 816

    Combined score
    12 138

Max temo 91 junction on GPU, 67 on CPU

Max Freq 5997.1 mhz on cpu, 2958.53 on GPU.

The max freqs look way off though.

I got 3dmark for about €2.50 on one of the key sites.

    Overall
    15 357

    Graphics score
    18 047

    CPU score
    8 326

CPU basically flatlined at 4.64hgz and the GPU maxed at 2500mhz and temps at 74c on the GPU and 60c on the CPU.

I'm running all stock because im lazy with 1 click OC on the GPU, SAM enabled, and PBO2 and auto OC Enabled.

    5600x and 6900Xt for reference.

Keep getting invalid score errors when I run. Maybe because it's the demo?

I ended up getting better scores when I turned off all OC apart from PBO. Boost to 4.8-4.9 now. Auto OC actually disimproved things because it tried to do an allcore OC

Either you're stopping the run by hitting ESC / Alt-tabbing, or it's crashing.

No, the run is completing. I'm just getting werid errors.

I've tried deleting future mark from windows and verifying local fieles on steam but it makes no difference.

So last night I ended up buying the retail version of 3D-Mark on a well know "Key" site for €3.59. Totally worth it :pac:

I think I've maxed out my 1080 TI and ryzen 3700X (with stock cooler) on my current setup using just windows software overclock.

My first valid score, apparently it was tessilation settings in AMD drivers causing the issue.

Negative LOD Bias is the setting in the nvidia control panel global settings. Set to allow or you will get invalid results. Just incase Nvidia owners have a similar issue.

In an around this score is all I will be able to get with this 6900 XT since I have a reference model. The two 8 pin connections are the limiting factor. Perfect for stock but to get the top of benchmarks you would need an aftermarket model with at least three 8 pin connections.

Happy out with a 3080 FE with stock cooling. Any higher and I couldn't get a result.

I'm re-doing the thermal pads soon, will see if there is much difference.

New Score but CPU score is down for some reason. Not sure why.

This score has a small bit higher graphics score but CPU was well down.

CPU overclock sucks, blue screens above 42.5 multiplier even @ 30c.

Top 2% GPU score for a 3080FE on air, not bad!

Tweaked to the hairy edge of stability and all fans blazing...gets me to the top 13% of 3080Ti scores. Captain, I need more power! 350W is not enough!!!

I managed to upgrade both of my rigs to RX6800XT's, which surprisingly are running fine so far on 600 watt power supplies, one is gold rated the other bronze. I stress tested both rigs and they are stable but I'll probably upgrade the bronze PSU on the main rig as there is a coil whine coming from it (definitely from the PSU).

I run without any overclocks, with just 600 watts I won't try as I'm probably very close to the edge of the PSU abilities.

    Main Rig Results

Here with new RX6800XT - AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT video card benchmark result - AMD Ryzen 7 3700X,ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. PRIME B450M-A II (3dmark.com)

With the old RX6800 - AMD Radeon RX 6800 video card benchmark result - AMD Ryzen 7 3700X,ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. PRIME B450M-A II (3dmark.com)

    Secondary Rig

Here with new RX6800XT - AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT video card benchmark result - AMD Ryzen 5 3600,Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. B450 I AORUS PRO WIFI-CF (3dmark.com)

With the old RX6700XT - AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT video card benchmark result - AMD Ryzen 5 3600,Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. B450 I AORUS PRO WIFI-CF (3dmark.com)

The graphical score on the secondary rig is much better than the main rig 18248 v 17659. I'm not sure why and I'm not too concerned but any feedback would be welcome.
