Canal in limerick city

    Just moved to limerick city and have been lookin along the canal in limerick city that runs into the river shannon at plassey.. it doesnt look like a bad spot plenty of over hanging trees and reed beds but i havent seen one person fishing so im just wondering does anyone fish it for pike ? And is the river shannon in limerick city worth trying ? Iv fished the shannon in o briens bridge and it was alright so i presume the stretch at plassey cant be bad plenty of spots around just dont know where to start so any info at all would be good
