    Anyone here use this distro?

I am trying to determine if it can be put on a HDD partition in live mode and booted successfully using Grub or other boot manager.

I did one test which failed, but maybe there is a different ISO that would succeed, or some 'trick' is needed.
I did note that they state clearly that Unetbootin does not work with their ISO.
    Any clarification appreciated, thanks.

I've never used it, but this resource might be useful https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Installing_Mageia

    Thanks, but unfortunately not :(

There is a lot of info on installing in a regular fashion (full install), but I am looking for what used to be termed 'poorman's install' or 'live install to HDD' ....... similar to running live from a CD or USB but on a regular HDD.

I can do this with other distros but I failed today with Mageia for some reason.
Maybe it is not possible with the Mageia files ....... :(
