Well nothing major to report. I've been parking in the spot between her and the neighbour for a few weeks now without any incident. Not sure what's happened but there seems to have been a change of attitude..... unless she's messing with my head.
While I come home and the space is 95% free, I have been getting the below on Fridays. I can live with that though and am amused by the silliness of it.

Don't pull so far into the space. Let her leave the bins on the road.

Maybe next time when you move the bins you leave them in front of her car, tight against the bumper, with the handles facing towards the car.
But personally I would put them back inside her gate.

Did you ever get any resolution to your parking issue OP? Or have you just decided to live with it?

I'm convinced someone must have had a word with her as for the most part she's not acting like an eejit. I'm able to use the space and not a word is said. The only issue I have is when the bins are due she puts her ones behind my car. If that's all that happens, I can live with it.

She may have done herself no favours as on occasion if I was in the space I use and say a work van was in hers, she'd arrive home and park in another space. This would of course annoy that neighbour and I believe her response was 'well isn't this the way it is now'. She's done that a few times, parking in any space that was free when she got home so perhaps she burned her bridges.

I can live with her bin protest as I think she only puts them out every second week.

Now you can live the dream. Move on from the rubbish and you will be laughing.

    Great news.

Maybe you can all agree on allocation of one of the parking spots for 'bins only' on collection day.

Bins could easily be left on green part or even to one side its just her silent protest.

I know, but if a space was allocated and she continued her 'protest' it would show her up a bit.

I think the OP is right to let her have her 'win'.
It's never a good thing to completely rub someone's nose in it.
He's gotten everything he wanted from someone who we all thought was/is fairly unhinged.

Still think her car deserves to be put in a skip for the laugh though.

Good to hear you got the situation resolved in the end.
Be sure to update us if any other craziness happens. :)

I can understand why you let her put the bins behind your car, but I wouldn't be one bit happy about it.
At the end of the day, she was in the wrong and she will always believe she was right if you let the bin situation carry on.
I'd be moving them behind her car every time and she'll soon get fed up and put them out of your way somewhere.

Agreed on this. You won a battle but not the war, nip this one in the bud op.

    .

Is she not entitled to park in any free space?

The other neighbours seem just as territorial and complete pains.

The point is the others are pissed off with her now so they are just st as bad.

I'm no fan of Doris but she's been getting the flak for everything while the others don't care once they are not effected.

The way it is now, as disgruntled Doris said, is the way it should always have been, for all of them..wonder is the crappy ka still wasting a space
