    Hi,

I'm looking for a 60+" TV.  I've been a projector man for the past few years but upgrades to the house mean I can no longer black out the room the projector is in so it needs to go.

I'll be shifting it and me 46" Sony TV and will be looking for at least a 60" TV to replace it.  Budget wise, as much as I'd like to go for the OLG 65" OLED set I think the missus would shoot me if I spent close to €6k on a TV.. So I'm open to cheaper suggestions!

Also, is there any discounts for ex richer sounds employee's?  I used to work in the store on Aston Quay and in X-music that was under it... Ahhhhh the memories.

HI unklerosco, thanks for the post

The LG OLED really are stunning, a customer has put a review on from hos he got recently :) http://www.boards.ie/ttfpost/100390717

There are a load of models available over 60" now, I'll give you a few suggestions to look at

STarting off, there is the Samsung UE60KU6000 - http://euro.richersounds.ie/p-202033-ue60ku6000.aspx at€1449 - this is a great new range 60" model fdrom samsung, with a good refresh rate
    There is a lso the 65" version - http://euro.richersounds.ie/p-202074-ue65ku6000.aspx at €1799

LG have a lovely 65" model 65UH770 - http://euro.richersounds.ie/p-201990-65uh770v.aspx at €2289 - their new range of non-OLED have really stepped up the last year or 2 and are serious competitors

Just to throw in there, how about the LG 65EG960 - an entry into the OLED in a curved screen - http://euro.richersounds.ie/p-201517-65eg960v.aspx at only €4399 so a good bit below the €6000 mark for the missus :)

All of these would be including delivery and 6 year guarantee

Have a look at these options and let me know what you think, or if something else grabs your eye

    Regards
    Brian

Thanks for that.  I quite like the LG sets at the moment, the 65UH770 looks fairly decent.. very little info online about it but they all seemed to have just recently released their 2016 sets within the last month or two so reviews are slow to surface.

Comparing it to the SAMSUNG UE65KS7000 which seems to get a fairly good writeup on AVforums do you think there's that much of a difference yourself considering the price gap?

    Hi,

Unfortunately Brian is out of the office today so I am replying on his behalf. I hope you don't mind. The LG is actually a very good TV, we had one on demo in the store and the panel is very impressive however having the Samsung 7 series on display as well I would honestly say the Samsung has a better panel. In terms of brightness and colour it is a much more natural image than the LG, especially on 4K content. The LG OLED Tvs are definitely the best I've seen this year but for standard LED the 4k quantum dot Samsungs are very hard to beat and are better than the standard LGs.

I hope this information has been helpful!

    Kind Regards

    David

    Hey Unklerosco.

Hisense having been producing some good screens and they having been selling like crazy!!!

The M7000 is one of their higher range screens and for the money they are impossible to beat.

There is a small amount of these currently in stock in our main warehouse but I would say they will not hang around for long. More stock will become available but it may take a week or so.

Any questions please drop me a post.

    Hi Unklerosco.

Unfortunately we don't have one here at the Belfast store.

On screens like this we would just get them as we need them due to the space we have here at the store in Belfast.

Home delivery on one of these (stock permitting) would be around the middle to end of next week.

    Hi Unklerosco,

Unfortunately we don't have one in stock in the Belfast store however we can certainly order one in for you or alternatively we can have one shipped to you direct from our warehouse. Shipping to ROI usually costs £6.99. Stock is very limited at the moment as Kenny has said so they may not hang around for long!

Let me know what you think.

    Kind Regards

    David
