Few Belgian IPA’s while listening to the hurling old skool on the radio:

Jack’s Precious IPA by The Musketeers Brewery and Delta IPA by Brussels Beer Project.

Not a fan of Porterhouse's dumbed down rebranding, or the general reduction in ABVs. :(

The Porterhouse stuff has really gone downhill unfortunately.

Got a can of Rascal's Foggy Juice here. Absolutely lovely. Fruit and citrus bomb.

Dark Star (Dingle) was a pretty special beer too.

Looking forward to this later, been awhile.

Heading to a Galway Bay pub in about an hour. Anything new in that's worth trying? Feeling in IPA or Pale Ale mood.

Depends which pub tbh. Have a gander at their taplists.

Didn't actually know they had updated taplists on their website - that's very handy, cheers!

Just found 2 bottles of Wesvleteren XII in back of attic. Wife had moved them because the box was ‘in the way’ so I forgot about them. Dated 16.11.2014. I just put one in fridge but am unsure what to expect.
Any opinions on if even drinkable?

They will be perfectly drinkable. I bought a brick back in 2012 and had a bottle with Christmas dinner every year up until 2017. I definitely thought the last one wasn’t as nice but it was still beautiful.

That’s good enough for me. Will have it right now. Thanks

Were these from the "brick" that was sold in drinkstore a couple of years ago? I did a comparison a couple of months ago from the last of those bottles that I had and a bottle that I got about 2 years ago. The one from 2 years ago was better but the older one was still good.

No it was Mchughes on malahide road and probably around 2012 same as bazmo.
Opened and sipping now. It’s quite muted in flavour compared to what I remember but pleasant . To be expected I suppose.

Vandestreek Zero Gravity Brut IPA, another quality Dutch IPA.

Dug into my stash of Westvleteren XII last night to drown my sorrows. Still have 2 bottles left in reserve, best before November 2014. :pac: Followed it up with a Chimay Bleu just to make a proper Belgian session of it.

Opened the last bottle of West xii and drinking now. It’s much better than the penultimate.
Hopefully the roof blows off the monks gaff and I can buy another brick/box.

Was in kinsale on Saturday night and had a few glasses of "Blacks Pineapple Weed".

Have to say it was a lovely drop.

GBB West coast DIPA “Sans Juice” is very enjoyable. 9% but doesn’t show its booziness.
