In vegas. Drinking a Bourbon County Brand Stout 2015
Got a Bourbon County Barleywine 2 liter growler on ice in the sink
    Feels good

However nothing on this trip has yet beaten drinking those damn west coast ipas in LA

Pliny the Elder wasn't even close to the best ones I had

Go to Banger Brewing on Freemont St, they brew some cracking stuff. Their Quadruple is stunning.

Stone Mocha IPA, I've seen this around for a while but I had no interest in trying it thinking it would be a gimmicky beer. I picked up a bottle yesterday and really enjoyed it. I didn't think coffee and chocolate would go with an IPA but this worked, everything seemed well balanced and the hops were more on the piney side.

Dooliner Irish red ale.....on draught.....in doolin..

Lovely beer..creamy guineas like head .and doesn't have that wierd aftertaste o have gotten from other reds.

Made by Carlow Brewing I think?

Just having a pint of 8 Degrees Amarillo from their Single Hop series, really nice beer.

Had my first beer from Stone earlier, a can of their West Coast IPA. The hops were so dominat but it was still a very good beer.

Local super has a range of foreign beers so took a chance on Baltika from Russia. Nothing special.

    This week:

    8 Degrees Amarillo
Galway Bay Phaeton (Collab. with Cigar City),
    O'Brother Sinner IPA,
    O'Brother Huck Saison.

Can anyone else recommend other nice Belgian Farmhouse Ales? I enjoyed that Huck Saison.

Galway Bay Scarecrow is quite nice but I don't think it's available in bottles. I also liked the Black Donkey Sheep Stealer.

Thanks BeerNut - haven't heard of Third Circle Saison but I will have a look for it and report back.

I tried the Scarecrow in Alfies and it's nice. But yeah I don't see it bottled. Oh yes, I've had Sheep Stealer before. It's nice. I've noticed it can be a bit too carbonated at times depending on the batch.

Pretty sure it's Carlow. Where's the brewery in Doolin?

@BeerNut - got a few bottles of Third Circle Saison last night - thanks for the tip. A little bit more bitter than Sheep Stealer but still very enjoyable

Actually think you are right....it's also sold as oharas red ale .....but I don't see the connection in the 2 beers...the Dooliner is a way nicer beer imo

Got a friend to bring me something back. He hated their hipster customer service. Pint bottles too.

Not impressed by Phaethon. Too sweet for me, I had another going our West. It's very sweet as well. GWBs new hop offerings are not my thing.

Camba Black Shark Black IPA, really enjoyed this, 8.2%, body of a Stout with a lovely hoppy black IPA flavour.

Kinnegar White Rabbit on tap in the Back Page. Absolutely delightful!
