    Hi
Just looking for some advice please maybe this has happened to someone here

I had a tip in my car a few weeks back on a country road I was travelling with my two children and met a van pulling a very large trailer twice it's width I pulled in as far as I could and he took the side off my jeep. It was outside the company the driver worked for as he had just come out the gate the owner arrived on site asked if I was ok and assured me it's all OK it's not your fault you couldn't have pulled in and closer you see in the ditch. I couldn't move my jeep so they all had to lift the trailer off it he then asked me to pull into his house so he could take my details etc a few weeks on my husband rang after we heard nothing but knew that garage had sent a quote. Your man has said he won't be paying a penny because I came flying around the corner on my phone in the middle of the road. All of which is untrue as my niece horse rides on the road I'd never be flying with my children and I have a hands free kit in my car so I'd never er have the phone in my hand.

Where can I go from here please I've had a friend (a guard) tell me to make a statement and then the guards will visit him and the insurance company's can sort it. I'm so annoyed I let my guard down I could get out of my jeep because the left side was the ditch and the right was his trailer so I didn't get any pictures and when he assured me it's not my fault i let my guard down didn't i. My sister in law works for said company and when I pulled in he said get this girls details one of the lads drove into her. Isn't that another admission of fault also...?

I'm not sure if your posting in the correct forum.
What you need to do is contact your insurance company and explain to them what happened. You might need to contact a solicitor as well.
I can't really tell you who'd be a fault for this accident to be honest. The only thing I do know is when accidents happen in rural country road when their is NO white line accidents can often end up being 50/50!

Definitely take your friends advice and go to the guards. Besides being the best option its probably your only one if the other party is playing hardball all of a sudden.

I was in the ditch passenger side so couldn't get out the driver side was in the trailer. When the owner came out he was all concerned suppose I was still a little shocked I'd two children in my car at the time I obviously wasn't thinking straight he said not to worry you couldn't go in any further they then proceeded to lift the trailer off my door as I couldn't drive forward or back he just asked me to pull into his drive so he could get my details to send his insurance company so I failed miserably really I suppose I let my guard down thinking he was genuine he again admitted liability in front of my sister in law he asked her to get my details as one of the lads has ran into me but she works for him. My husband wants me to ring him tomorrow and ask him why he pulled the wool over my eyes completely. I supposed a trip to the local station will follow I'm sure his drover is frightened he might get in trouble that's why he's saying I was on the phone but all the owner has to do is look in my jeep and see the parrot I've installed

I'd definitely go and get advice off the guards and make a report.
    Hope it gets resolved!

As said above get a Solicitor that specialise in motor collisions.

If you need one pm me I'll pass on details of one I have used and worked wonders.
