Need a hive mind opinion here.

Son crashed his fixed speed on Friday.
    Front rim is wrecked.
It's on a 32 hole Harris Cyclery hub.
Now given a set of Khamsins are approx 120 from Ribble is it worth getting a rim for the Fixie and getting it rebuilt or just try and flog the hub and putting it towards the Khamsins?

Is a Harris Cycle hub particularly special or anything? If not then bin them and buy the Khamsins.

It's worth getting a rim and spokes for the fixie and learning how to build the wheel yourself. http://www.wheelpro.co.uk/wheelbuilding/book.php

    yeah. rebuild both!

So the rim that was on it is a velocity v shape 30mm rim and a replacement is about 43stg plus delivery from brick lane bikes. throw in shipping at roughly a tenner makes 53 stage so ay 60 odd euro then a few quid for rebuild (I have spare spokes) so say 70 euro.

Think I will get the Khamsins and flog the fixie wheels.
