    Not sure if this is the right place to post but here goes if anyone knows anything about tvs and wouldnt mind advising me:

    I bought this tv http://www.lg.com/uk/support/support-product/lg-49LF590V

    What bloody channels should i get without hooking up any extra tv boxes?
    I can get the irish channels, which is rte 1,2,tv3 etc.
    When i connect my satellite dish (which is working correctly, ive got it checked), i still dont get bbc1,2,ch4 etc.
    Should i get these by hooking up my satellite?

    I have tried everything. I do a full scan and i get about 300 tv channels which are not in use i.e sky sports, sky movies etc.

    Before i go back to argos with a 49" tv that i think might be faulty, i want to get my facts straight :-)

    If anyone could have a look and let me know. Thank you so much.
