    Hi,

I am looking for a TV with the following specification for an elderly person:
    • Size: Min 40" but 42" would be preferable
    • Full HD 1080P
    • LED backlit
    • Minimum of 2 HMDI input
    • Reasonable sound quality (hearing is not great)
    • Must be simple to use
    • Netflix, Chromecast and RTE Player would be nice :), but not a deal breaker.

Make & model not important once it is "solid".
      Ex-display model is acceptable.

      Max budget is €300

      Many thanks!

    Hi 2011,

I was having a look at the specs of the TV and the budget and you would probably have more choice in a 32" TV.

For a good 40" TV you'd be starting off at around 505 Euros for a Panasonic TX40DS500. We also have a TV on sale at the moment an LG 49" for 499 Euro. This is a smart TV and a good 1080p panel. The sound in most TVs aren't fantastic as they're so thin but the LG is pretty decent in terms of sound quality.

Like I say, the 32" TV's would be coming in at around 300 Euro mark, for that you would be looking at the likes of the Samsung UE32K5500 which retails at 369.99. This again is a good 1080p panel with Netflix built in. Unfortunately they wouldn't have RTE Player or Chromecast built in.

Let me know if any of these TVs are what you have in mind or if the budget can stretch to the 40 inch TVs we would have.

    Many thanks

    David

    Hi,
I thought this was a big ask alright!
Thanks for putting in the effort.

This TV is for an elderly person that already has a 32" but they can't see it due to bad eyesight. A 40" would do but the budget can only be stretched to €400.

We are not in a hurry so perhaps something will come up over the next few weeks ??

nO probs, we'll keep you in mind if anything comes up.

Just out of curiosity, would they take an ex display/open box if one came up?
They will usually be in original packaging, and with all accessories, and come with full manufacturers warranty?

    Cheers
    Brian

Yes, an ex display / open box would be fine.
You would make an old person very happy :)
