Is it possible to replace Phonewatch as the monitoring on a brand new phonewatch system as the cost is very high per month. Can the GSM Simi card be replaced etc

No, you are stuck with them or replace the system. Have a read around the forum, I'm sure you will find some very informative posts /threads.

Thanks Koolkid, wondering about the cooling off period now?

    How long is it installed?

Still within the first 30 days

    Yeah you can cancel..
Did you get a written system design proposal to consider and sign prior to the installation?

Will check but just a simple contract without much detail to it, no design proposal(s).

If one cancels they will remove kit and refund payment to date.

They should. You can also claim under EN50131-1 & the regulations you should have got a detailed system design proposal prior to installation.

Sorry it is called a system design proposal document ( not too much information in it though in relation to design )

It should list all equipment used & its purpose.
It should list all prices & there should be a part for you to sign.
This should all be agreed prior to installation.

Yes, I stand corrected, Having reviewed the threads here looks like not the best solution to have by a long stretch.

Do you know the cancellation policy within the first 30 days as it is not clear from documents supplied?

I have installed for a lot of people who have cancelled. None had any hassle. Probably due to the number of areas where they are skirting around the standards.
