Going camping on Valentia Island, never been before. I know there's good hikes on the island, what else is there? Water/boat based activities? Horse riding?
Is there any pubs or places to eat dinner etc? Thanks !

A lot of these are mentioned on the website above but here are the ones I enjoy.
A walk to the top of Bray Head.
Great views from the top of Geokaun Mountain - you will get fit walking up. its steeeep
Don't miss the dinosaur footprints at the Tetrapod Trackway.
The views from the slate quarry are superb.

Eating-wise there are good places to eat in Knightstown. You could also go to Portmagee, there'e a few there.
Best of all is The Point Bar, just off the ferry on the mainland.
Valentia Island Farmhouse Dairy is a farm that makes ice cream.
