Tab 3 won't charge

I have a galaxy tab 3 and it stopped charging today. Theres still some charge left. I have an attachment for a HDMI cable so I plugged that into it and the battery showed an "x". That makes me sure it's not a physical problem with the charger port. Any advice?

This is sadly a common occurrence with the tab 3......(and some of the earlier versions too)

If it is still within warranty I'd suggest contacting Samsung support and getting it repaired. If not, then you could try something like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m2VJ_VRIRSI
