Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

personally don't mind the late start/early finish its no different than what we are used to all ready. It just seems a back ward step for the UFC. There trying to break into other markets outside the USA like Europe, Asia etc but don't show the proper respect to the local population but having it on at a reasonable time. There not going to gain any more traction or popularity in Europe with this move its a backward step if anything

What priced tickets do people think will get half decent seats, as in mid level somewhere. 150+ or am I lowballing?

• Closed Accounts Posts: 4,480 ✭✭✭Devastator

Not surprised with Khabib's denial of the Barboza fight. Even though he;s only fought once in the last 2 & 1/2 years, against a late notice newcomer and wasn't impressive he thinks he is the rightful no.1 contender and will fight for the title next. I'd say he'll shoot down any rumours or anything that suggests him fighting anyone other than Alvarez next.

I'm not a fan of his anyway, if he did end up on this card I'd be cheering for the other guy.

• Posts: 0 [Deleted User]

Would we want Khabib on the card anyway? I'd rather have a different ranked fight where there's more than a 10% chance it'd actually happen! Unless we all chip in on some bubblewrap

Hard to know. £150 is our upper limit so hopefully we won't be at the very back

Ha! Wow, I hope 150 will get a fairly decent seat.

This isn't McGregor in Vegas.

UFC Fight night in London was -

P1 167.25
P2 140.25
P3 112.25
P4 85.25
P5 57.25
P6 46.25

This may be more expensive but surely not significant enough that 150 won't get you a decent seat..

P1 is more expensive than London but P2 is cheaper.

The 2 venues are basically the same size.

Odd.

I dunno if I'd want a floor seat and having to look up all night. At 196 I'd a seat 7 rows off the floor and it was perfect! Eyeline was dead in line with top of the octagon. I wonder what ticket cat that kind of range will be for this event

I'd prefer not to pay max price on this. Looking forward to some pints and enjoying the fights but not pushed about being up close. I guess it will depend on what's available on the day. We're further complicated by the fact we have 6 people going so split between two fight club codes so will almost definitely be separated.

For those who have attended previous ufc events how big a diff is there in view between view going from P1 to P2 to P3?
Had a look at seating chart for 203 and the p3s look OK to me

you got me interested so I had a look myself. 203 is in the Q arena in Cleveland, strangely enough I've been there, it's a purpose built basketball arena and not very big. Manchester arena has only a slightly higher capacity and looks a similar shape. P3 should be fine although I'd be tempted to go P2. . .

I was 4 rows from the front at 199 and I didn't find the cage or posts blocking my view an issue. Attached pic as reference. To be honest, I think you'll be happy wherever you sit. Good craic everywhere..

If anybody is buying for 2/3 could they PM?
Hoping to secure a ticket but couldn't justify the whole 75 myself.
Will go in with anybody else who is willing to split.

Will likely be travelling on my Todd

Here's the seating chart for UFC 203 in the Q Arena in Cleveland which has a capacity very similar to that of the Manchester arena. I would guess our seating chart will be similar.

• Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,663 ✭✭✭JoeyJJ

I would imagine the front half of red is P2 and the 2nd half is P3.

From wiki(so slightly more credible than TMZ....but we know the craic)

In the announced bouts its showing Gunnar Vs Gastalum!!

I've not seen anything on ufc website or on twitter about this bout. I do remember seeing few days/week ago someone tweeted KG asking about 204 and he said he hoped to be in Manchester for it. Thats it though.

I want this fight to happen! It would be a great opportunity for Nelson to jump up the rankings should be win.

Last few events I went to at MEN were through Eventim so not sure who will be selling these.
DrPhilG wrote: »
Eventim are fantastic. I used them for UFC 99 in Cologne. Such a breeze compared to TM.

Does anyone know for certain who will be selling these? My initial joy at seeing the possibility of Eventim handling the sale has been dampened by my realisation that my bank account only gives me 25% off Ticketmaster sales so if the sale is handled by eventim it will cost me a lot more!

Edit, dammit... :(

Ian Entwistle vs Rob Font added, i'm starting to think the major announcements have been made at this point, hard to see Gunni or Joe Duffy on the card especially with UFC Belfast looming.

I'd be astonished if there's any other really big names on it. I'd think the main card is set with the following:

Bisping v Henderson
Belfort v Mousasi
Saint Preux v Manuwa
Magomedov v Struve

Then there's already 5 more announced bouts that look exactly like prelims.

There will be probably be 2 or 3 more lower level type fights announced and that'll be the card set before an inevitable injury or two.

I'd expect Gunnar or Duffy to headline Belfast.

I'm still holding out hope for one more major announcement. But looking unlikely at this stage.still worth the journey though especially with the cheap flights.

I'd normally agree with you put this is a PPV and there's only 2 high-class fights on that. I think they've got to add 1 more decent fight.
Expecting you to pay £50 more for a fight night card at stupid o'clock isn't really on.

Ticket prices for this are very reasonable (relatively) for the type of card it looks like being at the moment, IMO:

(Does not include fees):
P1 = £200
P2 = £125
P3 = £95
P4 = £75
P5 = £55
P6 = £40
