There's so much happening around here and yet there's no single place that lists everything.

Hopefully this thread will become popular and will top Google search result (like that 'Drogheda Restaurant Reviews' thread), and may be various event organizers will feel the need to post their events here as part of their PR campaign. :)

Another useful link, upcoming paid (usually) events listed on eventbrite.ie can be filtered by location like below:

    Events around Drogheda

As per that list this weekend there's Drogheda Pride main event at McHughs (drag show, music etc) this Saturday 3pm, Highlanes 10th anniversary celebration related art-y evening at Beaulieu House on Saturday night, Full moon walking tour of Hill of Tara Sunday night etc. A lot happening around town as usual.

Also plenty of time to prepare for SOSAD 5k run/walk for Life on Friday 9th, 7pm even if you are not a runner. It starts and ends at Aura Leisure center.

Great tip off Mr. Muddle - Cannons firing must be a sight to behold! Copying and pasting info from above link for non-Facebookers!

Event: Family fun day @ Millmount
Description: Sunday 28 August we are celebrating National Heritage Week 2016 with a Free family fun day at Drogheda Museum. The famous Millmount Cannons will be fired again this year, see how medieval warriors prepare for battle, take part in an archaeological dig. Our story teller will entertain you with the rich folklore that has been hand down through the generations. The events will be held from 2-6pm everything is free!
    When: 28 August at 14:00–18:00
    Where: Drogheda Museum Millmount

PS: I participated in that Duleek 10k, it was a nicely run event. Kids loved their shiny new medals and gooddie bags for taking part in childrens fun races (approx 50 mts dash, all ages were running / toddling / crawling).

I thought I saw signs for a family day in the City North hotel this Sunday ( Aug 21st), but don't see it online.

(The hotel on the South Drogheda/Julianstown M1 exit)

Had it recorded on my phone though.

That Land of Legends 8k at Clogherhead looks like great fun! Shame it's clashing with Heritage 5k near Newgrange (or vice versa).

Sunday 28th, 1pm, Clogherhead beach carpark.

Oldbridge Christmas Fair from 11am to 4pm this coming Sunday December 4th at Battle of Boyne Visitor Centre.

Just saw a post on twitter. Should be nice for the kids and free of charge.

have been toying with the idea of a town website that was actually updated weekly and could possibly give the smaller business' an online presence. Does anyone think this could be a viable idea.
