    Dammit!

I'm already dreading the 17th. Mourinho with another park the bus tactic and a mis-hit shot from Rooney falls to Ibrahimovic and they win 1-0.

Mourinho is back the papers will say. Klopp suffers the dreaded manager of the month award.

This whole combined teams,we've got better players than you have is a load of bollocks anyway. You could have the best player in the world for their position all over the pitch but if they're not functioning as a team it's not worth anything. It kinda happened at Real Madrid a few years ago. How many of Leicester's team would any Liverpool or Man Utd fan have put in a combined team last season? 2? Maybe 3? They still won the league by 10 points.

But can we leave it there because this is just gonna kick off the debate again and surely no one wants that. It never ends well.

    ~I don't know.
I wouldn't be surprised to see some claim we'd be better off letting Klopp mould Karius into what he wants him to be etc etc

Combined 11's are like listening to two lads who hate each other say which parts of each other's wife they'd stick on their own. Those tits wouldn't have a chance getting onto my Sharon. Yeah, but I know you think Lindsay's arse is world class but I wouldn't even touch it with yours.

There is no doubt a lot of UTD players would arguably start in a combined 11 , they have one of the most expensively put together squads in Football history.

Its when you put together a strategy of playing together that it falls down , 7 games in I am no closer to understanding what utd are trying to do and I suspect the team has that same problem.

You could have said the same about Klopp a year ago, an incredibly expensive jigsaw puzzle of players that didn't look like it was going to fit together.

Ye have the most expensive player in history in your squad, the difference in expense is vast and cant be compared.
Cost of United squad £628 vs Liverpool £310m.

Maybe a better question is would you replace United's manager with Liverpool's? My guess is you would in a heart beat.

After been told we are irrelevant to United for years, I love the fact you have to come in here and tell us your players are better. That insecure about your team are you?

Your guess would be wrong, why would I swap a manager who was league champion as recent as last year? If Mourinho can't fix United, Klopp definitely can't.

Are you shocked that a United fan takes part in a discussion about United?

Because Mourinho starts off well and then drops off badly after a season or two. At this rate, ye're on course for the Championship within 2 seasons. :pac:

Not at all and I welcome the discussion but spouting hyperbole nonsense that a single Liverpool player wouldn't get into the United team adds nothing to the conversation.

If that is your genuine belief fair enough, but it is wrong. Firmino, Coutinho, Mane, Clyne would walk into that team.

I never said they wouldn't get into the squad, when everyone is fit none of them would be starters for me bar Clyne possibly. And I'm sure Liverpool fans would say only 1 or 2 would get into your own starting lineup.

    Where's the hyperbole?

I think they're all a great bunch of lads personally......

Looking forward to seeing this "real" United though, I've seen them play poorly to decent enough this season but I must not seen the right games because if boards is anything to go by Liverpool will be lucky to keep it to within 4 goals such is the strength of United's squad....

Will be interesting to see if they bother to turn up if nothing else....

I'd imagine about 90% of United fans would happily swap Jose for Klopp.

The other 10% just won't admit it.

Not sure how legit this is but if true, there isn't much between the two managers after a similar amount of games during their first year in charge at Liverpool.
    ______BR
    JK
    Games 37 - 38
    Wins 18 - 16
    Draws 10 - 13
    Losses 9 - 9
    Points 64 - 61
    Goals 73 - 71
    Total shots (inc. blocks) 645 - 739
    Shots on target 210 - 232
    Passes 20120 - 19802
    Passing accuracy % 80.9 - 84.2
    Average possession % 58.8 - 57.4
    Tackles 825 - 795
    Interceptions 508 - 526
    Goals conceded 50 - 43
    Shots faced (inc. blocks) 365 - 433
    Shots on targets faced 128 - 141
    Yellow cards 57 - 54
    Red cards 2 - 2

Well he only had one pre-season for those games while Klopp had none for most of them. Doesn't matter anyhow, no point comparing.

Neither of the above records are good enough for a long period of time. Rodgers did much better in his second season, hopefully Klopp will have a marked improvement too as we are currently seeing the start of (hopefully) but without the huge decline in points and quality afterwards.

Just to make a serious point, Rodgers will never get any credit for anything at LFC from a lot of people especially here, however I thought he done an excellent job in his first 2 seasons. He had an average/poor 3rd season with a disappointing final 1/3 of the season brought that form into the next season. His LFC team took a step forward and a step back unfortunately.

I'm happy we replaced him with Klopp as it was IMO the right thing to do, but I'll remember his time at LFC fondly. Many would disagree I suppose.

I just found it interesting on how close some of the stats were considering how poor I thought Rodgers first six months went. I agree about Klopps second season, I hope its a cracker. I don't expect another "nearly season" so soon under Klopps reign but a Top Four finish would be great.

    Really out of form sadly.

Valencia has had better form than Clyne though so it's a toss up.
