windows 10 battery indicator

    Just got a laptop that had Win10 installed. Noticed the battery indicator is a bit mental. Fully charge shows 5.5 hrs... 10 mins later it drops to 2hrs...another half hour it pops up to 4hrs. Completely unreliable.

    Anyone else having this or a possible solution.

    Assuming your battery isn't actually on the way out, try Batterybar Pro - the basic/free version works just fine for status and battery wear tracking.

    To see how your battery is doing try
    powercfg /batteryreport /output "%temp%\battery_report.html"
    start "%temp%\battery_report.html"

    DESIGN CAPACITY 47,520 mWh - this is the real 100%
    FULL CHARGE CAPACITY 28,105 mWh - windows can set this as the new 100%


    run this to see tips
    powercfg -energy
