White leaves on courgettes

    As above, the leaves on my courgettes have a white coating. Seems to happen every year and was wondering whether it is worth doing about. Cucumbers too to a lesser extent.

    Sounds like this alright, just drenched as suggest in the article and will keep an eye on them. Just a couple of plants, so no great loss if they don't make it and courgettes to date have been tasty.

    Spraying the plants with milk also works.

    Had the same problem with plants I grew in the greenhouse

    The Courgettes were also rotting on the plant while they were quite small.

    Only got about a dozen fruit from 4 plants

    Dug the lot out last week.

    Now being advised to clean the glass-house with Jeyes Fluid to prevent the same thing next year

    used to do the usual clearout every year and jeyes fluid is good and waiting 3 weeks for drying out ,and you will get it again next year,courgettes , cucumbers and melons can all get it followed by red spider mite.
