Laundry Services in Student Accommodation

Hi everyone, Do any of you live in student digs either on campus or off campus? If so, what is the laundry situation like? Do you have your own private washing machines or do they have communal washing machines that you pay for? How do you find the whole thing in general? Is it fairly decent or is it a total pain?
