Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If Man Utd win today I think that's Spurs out of the title race (if they were even in it in the first place).

I don't think we were ever in it we were unbeaten for a long time but too many draws have cost us badly. Win today and we put 9 points between us and Manu and we would be up to 4th only a few points of top , fingers crossed!

Tough day at the office for Sunderland yesterday.

Pienaar is finished at this level and should be nowhere near the first team. Moyes loves him however and has even credited him as being one of our best players this season  Watmore was a big loss as his workrate had been helping Billy Jones out massively but without Watmore's covering, Jones was exposed.

The centre of midfield is a huge problem. Ndong will probably go on to be a decent enough player, he does some things very well but he's out of his depth at the moment. Not his fault, he's a kid with a record transfer fee on his shoulders and should never have been put in this position. Spending £13m on a player we needed someone who can hit the ground running straight away and not a prospect. Of the current options, Larsson and Kirchhoff simply must be 2 of the 3 central midfield players wherever possible.

It's important not to get too downbeat however as we were miles away a couple of months ago but have managed to claw it back to being just 1 point from getting out of the relegation zone.

The team is still very fragile mentally as evident by the capitulation after going 1-0 down so a pasting against Chelsea midweek could set off another poor run.

Watford (H) and Burnley (A) are 2 of our 4 games over Christmas so 4 points needed there IMO.
