Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I would say Eddie Howe also learned a good lesson after he left Bournemouth for Burnley a few years ago that the grass isn't always grenner and all that.

He will move but only when it's the right time for him.

In fairness, I'm not watching the game so had a wee gander in the Arse forum and they all even said it was a pen.
Nailed on. He shoved Fraser in the back with his forearm. Crazy challenge.

    HT 2-0 Bournemouth lead

Arsenal are as off their game as any team have been over the Christmas/New Year spell.

If you're sacrificing Sanchez being up front, with the firm he's been in, to accommodate Giroud, you're doing something wrong IMO.

I don't care if they won a couple of days ago.

Where is the evidence that they can't play together.
Edit* not a question at you. Just in general.
I don't understand why wenger can't play them both.

Sanchez has been pushed out wide to accommodate Giroud.. stupid decision really with the form Sanchez was in playing up top. They might be able to play together but Wenger is messing with a winning formula

It's not very modern is it? Two up front is for the likes of Wimbledon and Palace.

    Strangely decent refereeing tonight ;)

by the Xhaka is turning into a real mixed bag for Arsenal, kinda glad Liverpool do not have a Xhaka-Can midfield, in fact I'd feel for us if we did!

Jesus Wept man.... That's so bad!

Ain't nobody gonna let you away with that.

I haven't been watching arsenal much but when they did that against utd it didn't work at all Sanchez was completely isolated on his own
I'm not factoring in that Utd were dominating but the way arsenal were setup didn't help.

Have they ever played a 4-4-2 with Sanchez behind Giroud?

Most of us were ignoring it and glad we didn't sign him too, to avoid seeing the pun everywhere.

Sanchez wasn't fully fit that day plus it was arsenal at OT they never play well there. Sanchez has been excellent upfront. Wenger's options are a bit limited tonight as Walcott and ozil are out if they were available I'd imagine he would have went with Sanchez up top. Giroud is useful against physical teams that sit deep.

Just caught a glimpse of the third goal, surely a free for the push in the back??

Also was that Bellerin that lad out paced? Fecking rapid!!!

Sanchez to Chelsea in January, Id wait until summer if needs be.

Come on Alexis, you kow you want to.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38,977 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

Arsenal should bring on Perez, they've nothing to lose at this stage and clearly Giroud up top is not working. Imo they need more movement and speed around the box and Perez will give you that at least. He deserves a bit of playing time anyways.

Arsenal won't sell in January, he will go himself in the Summer no? Will have clubs at his mercy if it's the end of his contract

Stoke winning 1-0, Swansea winning 0-1

    Chelsea
I reckon Sanchez will probably be off in the summer, it wont be to an EPL side, they wont allow it but with the money around youd have to reckon hes worth easily 70m.

Id love him at Chelsea, I imagine his main potential destinations are Juve, Bayern, PSG, maybe Atletico if they sell Griezmann.

Cant rule out China too but I doubt he'll go there, he seems far to driven for that.

Frasier, looks a talented lad, instrumental in the win over Liverpool a few weeks ago when he came on. May he a little small but very good on the ball.
Bournemouth on top in every position, Arter having a good game. Sanchez nicks one, let's see if Bournemouth can keep the heads.

They need to get another goal. 3-3 isn't enough here. They'll be eight points behind with a game more played.

Should have held onto him and let him prepare for the Championship next season. They are going down along with Swansea.

Am I the only one that thinks that these red cards are a bit OTT. Any slide tackle that's not perfect is a red now it seems, that one tonight was no danger to anyone imo.

Thought Phelan was doing an acceptable job considering the position Hull are in.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Very unfair to have teams with 3 days rest playing teams with 2 days rest.
    Everton 3 southampton 0
    bournemouth 3 arsenal 3
    stoke 2 watford 0
    swansea 2 palace 1
Obviously the stoke win was no surprise and everton would be slight favourites to beat southampton.
West brom reversed the trend by beating Hull 3 1.
Lineker stated next years xmas schedule is
Dec 16, dec 20, dec 23, dec 26, dec 30, jan 1. Close to 1/6th of the season in half a month.
