Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Ayew looks done already.

Hopefully Tore doesn't come back to haunt us.

Being a record signing for West Ham is a curse.
Our record signings recently have been Ashton, Savio Nsereko, Matt Jarvis, Carroll and Ayew.

    Poor game.

Under 2.5 is a market for Chelsea games this season I suspect.

I fail to see what Matic brings to Chelsea. Especially with Kante there now. Waste of a spot.

What was he doing??? Just get rid!!

    2nd yellow for me.

Most obvious yellow ever, this ref is always useless.

Kante absolutely immense tonight, mistimed tackle at the start of the game aside. Picking up right where he left off last season.

    Another steller ref performance.....

Surprise surprise, yet another refereeing nightmare in favour of Chelsea.
Both Costa and Kante should be off.

Conte has them riled up early.

Chelsea could be a good bet for most carded side this season - assuming the refs stop being cowards.

Is celebrating with the crowd a yellow in the Premier League this season? Not a Costa diss, genuinely asking.

    Manchester United
Happy for Conte, chelsea will probably need a couple more players to win it outright.

Costa definitely should have been off, don't think the ref bottled it though it just looked like he was a bit late on a challenge he had every right to go for. Looking at the replay it was a definite yellow. Kante's was just a foul, not a second yellow imo. Anyway, the best team won, fully deserved win.

Chelsea looked good. Especially in midfield & attack. Defensively they need a new CB badly. I hope they don't get Koulibaly who is a superb CB.

I didn't realise Ed Chamberlin had left Sky. Pity as I liked him better than this other guy.

Zouma will do the job nicely IMO, I think he's superb, though I agree they could do with another.

Conte will never fit at Chealse, he's too likeable a character. A Conte replacing A Cùnte as James Richardson observed on Football Weekly

He was more than a bit late in fairness, he ended up tackling Adrian at the top of his sock, not far from his knee. Straight red once your studs end up there.

He's fronting ITV's new racing coverage in January.

Watford robbed today due to incompetent refereeing. Costa should have been sent off for a second bookable offence for diving. He should have been sent off in two out of two games so far now

    Insipid.

Savage being a twat. Hoddle speaking sense: if Clattenburg's not sure, he shouldn't give it.

Leicester also had the ball afterwards so I think playing on was to their advantage.

    Chelsea
And there we go, shirt pulling goes unpunished. It seems like refs decide to award a penalty once every few months for it even though it happens every game multiple times

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

You might be hard pushed to find a worse game than this. Just dreadful stuff.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

Jesus wept Clattenburg you bottler. Should be off.

    Leicester getting shafted here

    Chelsea
Ah here how can you not give that as a pen

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,683 ✭✭✭LightningBlue

He gives that free-kick but wouldn't give the penalty.

The faux outrage over Costa makes it even sweeter.

Robbed ya? No mention of the stonewall penalty Chelsea were denied beforehand? Obviously not.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,014 ✭✭✭✭Corholio

Costa should have definitely went, I'd be surprised if there was Chelsea fans who wouldn't think that. The dive looks worse the more you look at it. The fact that it's Costa seems to actually give his defenders a buffer on the whole 'oh your just outraged it's Costa again' regardless of what the actual incidents are. Two weeks in a row he should have been sent off, that's not a Costa witch hunt or 'outrage', both reds were pretty clear to be honest.

How is it faux outrage? Should he or should he not have been sent off for the dive?

And yeah, Chelsea should have had that penalty, that goes without saying, but 1-1 vs 10 men is better than what happened.

Inevitable relegation battle looming for Sunderland with that current squad. Surely need 5 or 6 signings.

Sunderland defence in ribbons but great play from Boro. 0-2

Lovely football by Boro for the 2nd, great play from Negredo.

The Sunderland defence is a shambles though. It is embarrassing for them. Selling the central defensive pairing that kept them up, relying on O'Shea who has fitness issues and then having to replace him with Pieenar when he gets injured.

If they don't have 4 or 5 quality signings lined up they will be down there all season.

How a Premier League club decided to sign him I'll never know. I thought he'd be lucky to get an MLS club.

For a full house, the atmosphere at West Ham's new stadium is pretty pathetic.

Running tracks around pitches are bad ideas.

Crowd too far away and the green carpet around the pitch just looks wrong.
