There is an interesting article in today's Financial Times on proposed changes to Britain's electronic mass monitoring of society law called RIPA. Ex "Home Office" head May/Mrs T (read Dept of Police State Security) is now the prime minister. Ireland's "Mrs May" (Minister Fitzgerald) recently announced that she was going to get the country stuck into the Anglo Saxon 'war against terror' machine by providing details of all passengers flying to/from Ireland to the NSA and GCHQ for 'vetting'.

If one of these countries determine that Ireland has a person on their wanted list, they will undoubtedly seek to extradite them. Which puts Irish airports and other public spaces at a high risk for "payback". That is what caused the atrocity at Brussels Airport - the assistance the Belgian government gave the French. The French have an appalling colonial and post colonial legacy in the Middle East - almost as bad as the British and Americans. Brussels has a large Arab community who have lived up to recently in harmony with other Belgians. Not any longer.

The concern one would have over Mrs Fitzgerald's proposed action to sell Irish citizens and visitors' data is even more alarming, giving the prospect that the next US President will likely be a nutcase, who has made appalling anti-Arab / anti Muslim statements in the election campaign.

Or we'll will have a heads up to check they aren't carrying anything dangerous onto the plane and they can pick them up when they land saving all that unpleasant paper work, win win, and I wouldn't go a far as to call Hillary a nut case.
