Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Rubbing noise coming from engine (link to video included)

    Hi I have a skoda 1.4 petrol and this noise just started coming from the engine, anyone any idea what it is please?

    Could be one of the pulleys. Spray a little bit of water on the belt and see if sound changes.

    I think it got a little more muffled but hard to tell.

    What year is car?
    Any belts changed ever?
    Other work done on engine the last year?

    09 just the timing belt changed in June last year. Never had any other problems with it

    Just got a mechanic to look at it, seems to think it could be a bearing.
