Ya, disappointing. I'm still playing Nioh so the drop back to the 30fps in bloodborne was immediately jarring.
Ah well. Just gotta keep hoping for a bloodborne sequel.

I find it odd that they haven't released a pro version.

Just wondering if it's worth trading PS4 slim 1TB edition for a pro. I do have PSVR but don't have a 4K television set nor do I plan on getting one in the foreseeable.

Well it'd up to you but being honest if you don't have a 4k TV there will only be a small few FPS and the vr will run better that's about it.

A 4k TV would be a must for a Ps4 pro as the more games I play on it with a pro mode I look at otrher games ans go omg how bad do they look?. I give you example Zelda on my switch looks epic but on my 4k TV so so bad.

Look into getting a 4k TV if I was you as there well worth it in the long run.

Is it really night and day with a Pro and 4K setup as opposed to vanilla and HD tv?

Genuinely curious. Looking into upgrading everything myself.

(I haven't seen a Pro in the flesh, only YouTube videos on my phone which can't really show the quality jump).

Like I have not used it on a none 4k TV. But you can clearly see on a 4k a none HDR version of the same game there is a huge difference between them. I am playing Ff15 at the moment in HDR and I can tell the difference between when I had the game running in my HDR everything was so. Dark looking.

The pro is bigger then a day 1 Ps4 even Pitture 1/2 a Ps4 on top of it and that's it but still a very good looking console. Like I never think. YouTube can tell you the difference between games on to. You seen them. In person.

Like I am. On my 2nd 4k TV after the 1st one broke and I changed brands to a Panasonic from a LG. Even the diff between both panels is crazy as well.

In the long run I would say a 4k TV with HDR 1st then a Ps4 pro a lot more will agree with me on the this as I know loads of people who got a pro got a new TV within a few weeks

    Hey all,

Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing color inversion on parts of their screens for a few seconds while playing the Pro? Had it happen 3 times in the last few days while playing the new Dark Souls 3 DLC. Only had the Pro about a week and never experienced this on my old PS4.

Double checked all the connections and they seem properly seated. TV is a 49" Samsung KS7000.

Not happened me anyway. Could be more to do with the tv perhaps?

I've noticed this too playing Fifa 17. It's the only game I've seen it happen, so thought it might have been a glitch in the game. I too have a 49" Samsung KS7000 and PS4 Pro, so I'm now wondering if it's the TV or the console that's causing the issue?

Have the same tv and PS4 Pro and haven't had that issue at all. Only had the tv about 2 months though.

Based on the replies I've got on reddit and a bit of Google-Fu it seems to be an issue with the TV when it's on Game Mode, Youtube link shows the effect.

I never had it crop up with till I switched to the Pro which made me think it was down to the new console but it seems to be an issue with the TV or perhaps communication between both.

I'm running a Pro and KS7 and have not noticed the issue. are you running through an amp , try a different Hdmi. cable ?

Actually... have you got it all setup properly , it's not really straight forward to get the best results,

There's a discussion about this issue on Samsung's Community forum here

Hopefully this means Samsung are now aware of the issue and will fix it with a firmware update, as it's almost certainly a software related problem. There are PC and Xbox One users also reporting the same issue.

UPDATE: A mod on the Samsung Community forum posted the following re: the RGB separation issue - "Thanks to you guys here we have been able to get the developers and specialists aware and Samsung is looking into this further. I would not call it a known issue just yet as it is still being researched, but I can confirm we are looking into it."

    No. Not at all.
Barely noticeable in truth for most games.
I don't think anything really makes use of the PS4 PRO....or maybe we were all lead to believe it's something it's not ...great marketing gimmick.

I have a PS4 Pro and a SUHD 4K TV , and it's meh...not worth the money I spent for the tiny visual upgrade over a standard PS4 and HD TV.

AC Syndicate has gotten a pro patch and I think it looks fantastic on my 4k box.
Only other Pro game I have is Infamous, but not checked it out yet.

But I want a bit more to justify the damn upgrade cost. :pac:

    Horizon Zero Dawn is Stunning,

Rise of The Tomb Raider and Ratchet and Clank's Pro upgrades are excellent also

Try and pick up ratchet and clank the next time its on sale for your 4K tv as to me its the best looking game i have seen in 4K with HDR.

It basically makes me fell like i am in a cartoon its so bright and clear and the FPS it might be only 30FPS works perfect for the same.

I have also played final fantasy 15 in HDR as well its really really bright but looks really well and have enjoyed the few hours i have played of it eg the battle system is quite good i find reminds me a lot of the very good one from final fantasy 12.

What kind of set up are you useing ?.

Must try all 3 of those actually at some point. :)

    I have a 55 inch 4k tv that's hdr compatible.

I think I might be able to borrow FF15 from someone to give that a go, see if I like it :)

    Have you tried Battlefield 1

    Infamous

    Uncharted 4

    TLoU

    Rise of the Tomb Raider?

They seem to me the best examples of the Pro benefits I've personally seen so far

I own TLOU on PS3, Rise of the TombRaider on PC and BF1 on PC too, so no need to buy them.
Personally I'm not sure why I got a pro, I think people are deluding themselves as to a huge jump in quality.

On a 4K tv the difference is night and day to me. The Vanilla on 4K looks grainy and washed out ,the Pro looks sharper and more vibrant .

If you have a top spec PC and them games already on PC you aren't really going to notice it

Then again, HDR only came in on my gaming PC the other day in a Windows update and I noticed some games look unreal since

TLoU takes advantage of HDR well, BF1 maintains 60fps on the Pro PS4 it was between 45-50 at peak on a "standard" PS4

Rise Of The Tomb Raider is night and day in my opinion

The differences are there, I don't think you have the software to show it though

Everyone talks about Horizon as THE game to have to show it off, which I have.

Anyways, graphics are maybe 1/10th ...if that...of what makes a great game for me...so I'd not be re-buying TLOU or Rise of the TR for that reason.
I can't do BF1 on a joypad after playin on PC

I can notice the difference in decent films or 4K content on Netflix.

You get used to 4K and the wow effect fairly quickly, but it is quite jarring for a minute or two when you go from lets say a 4K Netflix show to a 1080p show.

Even looking at the PS4 dashboard, I have the Pro on a 4K TV every second weekend usually and the rest of the time it's in my room on a 3 year old 1080p Smart TV, I have to squint nearly to make out some of the pictures and writing

Or maybe I need my eyes tested... :P

The real difference i noticed was the HDR,i had a pro since launch and had TLOU,ROTTR and Horizon zero dawn, but my tv had not had the HDR upgrade untill a few weeks ago so id played them just at 4k,but when the tv got the software upgrade for hdr,the difference was very very noticable..

Yeah I think the HDR is more important than 4K. You can definitely see differences between 4K and 1080p if you pause, switch and unpause, but the difference while you're playing isn't that noticeable. The 4K is really what makes a game like Horizon in particular shine.

Decided to take the plunge and picked up a Pro bundle on Gamestop.

1TB Pro, Zero Horizon Dawn, extra controller and DOOM all for €399? I jumped on it, too good to be true.

Today I get an email stating that they are sold out of Zero Horizon Dawn and DOOM, they can't give me the extra controller and instead tried to get me to pick ****e like Fifa 15 and some unknown kids game.
I have cancelled the order and requested a refund, raging :(

I'm on the fence now reading this thread, debating should I wait it out for a further price drop. Any estimates when?

Does anyone have a idea of how much the PS4 4 Pro with a trade in of a PS4 in Gamestop would be? Can't find anything on their site .
