Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I was looking at the Roidmi FM transmitter and it's almost exactly what I want except it's bluetooth based. Anyone know of a similar transmitter that works with a cable / aux in? (Yeah, I don't like Bluetooth).

    Belkin are pretty good.

@OSI the car is a 12 year old Yaris with an audio system that looks like it would be a nightmare to do DIY on. And the reviews I've read on that particular transmitter are very good so maybe they've improved?

Doesn't look like that supports phone calls though? No mic?

I also need one of these as my car does not have aux and would not take a standard head unit.

This one gets great reviews on amazon:

Pretty cheap so I might try it.

If the aerial is at the front of the car, you may be okay, but at the back of the car forget it. Also, you'll need to change the frequency if you're driving through the country. And parts of Dublin will render the thing useless.

As said, get an aux unit. You state DIY is hard; is it an OEM radio? Have a look at connects2.com - I've used them in the past, and have found them good.

Had a look at that website, I have research the owners club of my car (Primera) and this car is not a good candidate for this adaptation.

Is there any other options apart from FM Transmitters and direct aux connection? I saw a DAB radio device here with and aux input in halfords, combined with the DAB aerial it could work?

It's an FM transmitter that does the tuning for you.

If you don't want to put in an aux cable from the back of the radio, and the FM transmitters don't work for you, the only other option would be a 3rd party radio. Is your current radio single or double DIN?

It's a unique piece of equipment in the Nissan Primera p12.

The Nissan owners club website suggests an xcarlink system but looks like a nightmare to do. I'd have to have a specialist do it and am sure it would be expensive.. In fact some reports on the Nissan owners club website warn about car audio specialists who end up feckin up the system altogether.

Sorry for high jacking this thread. I'm thinking of getting this:

OP might find something for their vehicle on this website
