I thought there would be some talking about the awarding of the contracts, was fun last year with owners saying they were entitled to be awarded the contract because they had it the last 10 or so years.

You can't expect a Luas line linking every shack in the country to the main towns.

Ehhhh....you could have moved, so why the hell would they keep a seat reserved for ad infinitum for you?

I live partly in the back of beyond and part time in Dublin, both have their advantages and disadvantages. Man up or move on.

If you build a house in the middle of the countryside it should be a condition of planning that you have a car to bring your kids to the nearest major town to get the schoolbus from there.

That's it, as far as I'm concerned. I don't have brats, but if I did I'd make sure they could cycle the four/five miles or so to the nearest senior school. Funnily enough, the kids from around here did it for generations, long before every family had one or more cars.
The younger kids would only have to walk or cycle a mile, so no real hardship.

There's a huge amount of calls about this? That's a lie PBH, Joe gave us the impression that the lines were blocked with callers complaining about Brendan O'Cackle's treatment in the Indo.

The DOE have no legal requirement to provide you with transport for your child to school.

If you build a house in the middle of the countryside it should be a condition of planning that you have a car to bring your kids to the nearest major town to get the schoolbus from there.

And if you have a preference for a different school than the one nearest to you, then you need to make your own arrangements to transport your sprog yourself.

This fella has his 'indignant, self entitled' tone of voice on.

Keep your kid at home? Sure, great idea buddy....
