WT ACTUAL F was that musical "thing" which had the "Row, row, row your boat" nursery boat in the background and the O'Donovan's voices overlaid onto that (completely out of sync with the music too btw)? I heard it at the start of the show but from reading the thread he obviously played it more than once.

    IT WAS EMBARRASSING.

I would say the lads themselves would be mortified as it completely belittles their sport (liking it to a nursery rhyme, seriously?) and has a touch of D'Unbelievables about it.

As for the production values.....if a transition year student did that I'd be embarrassed for him/her/

    IT WAS EMBARRASSING.

Lost in a world of his own, with nobody to keep him anchored in reality.
Needs a good kick up the arse, in my opinion.

Paul O'Donovan got a sneaky 'Tiocfaidh ár lá' in at the end, too!

Was it not a reference to their day will come when they win gold, rather than in a provo fashion.

I will say a Novena of thanks (do you do Novena's in thanks, or just when you're looking for something?) that I missed yesterday's show.

    Holy show, more like.

I was morto just reading about it.

Had the radio on overnight and woke up to hear a bit of that awful "row row row your boat" thing - of all the STOOOOOOPID soundbytes Joe has put together, that one tops them all. Also heard a snippet of him talking to the Dad (I think) and giggling like an infatuated schoolgirl - thankfully I fell back asleep then before I was permanently mentally scarred.

Once again, I sincerely and honestly think I'm cured of Lahvline-itis.

It was just a cheeky/amusing double-entendre, which can be construed both patriotically and personally. I assume that's what he intended. Nobody from Ireland says 'Tiocfaidh ár lá' without understanding its republican overtone.

It was just a harmless double-meaning, but I'm sure it annoyed a tiny number of sensitive souls, nevertheless, possibly including the Duffer.

    Pre-Liveline AdWatch, so to speak:

    AerLingus - (Commercial)
    Toyota - (Commercial)

Saving all the RTE ads for Liveline, no doubt.
