Joe's yellow sphincter must be twitching at that lad slandering a consultant of impeccable repute.

Should be compulsory listening for the Irish electorate when and if we do eventually get an opportunity to vote on getting rid of the 8th amendment. Would clarify things very quickly for voters.

Can we ask this guy to stay on after three o'clock. I think D'Arcy could do with a few words from him as well.

I have said I will clarify and I will.

I have absolutely no problem with the discussion taking place. Yes, it's absolutely fair game. It is public money. Even if it wasn't public money, it would be fair game imo.

I was only asking that the discussion move to a new thread (in the Radio forum) if it was to continue.

If the consensus is that people are happy to have and follow that discussion in this thread, ok, I'll remove the mod post. But I thought it might be easier for people to follow a discussion away from this thread, which often has 600 posts or more in just over an hour. Is that not a reasonable way to ensure more people are able to follow the discussion on his "fees" as well as being able to continue in this thread as per usual?

    Thanks for the clarification. :)

True and the same issue crops up again and again with threads on Ray D'Arcy, Marion Finucane etc. Should all be shoehorned together.

That's not how I read it Barry to be fair.

It shows how bad of a broadcaster that he is that he can't get a grip on the conversation. He should have cut to a break some time ago and laid down the rules to Patrick, if Patrick doesn't comply then tell the listeners that this isn't working and get him off.
