ANPR is better than any tracking system.

Is this in in this country yet? I hear I think a RSA ad for it but thought it was still only in GB

Tracking devices are handy. RTE could put one on Joe Duffy so to speak

If you leave your phone in the car, you can track it via the phone tracker!

(Ok OK, it was only a suggestion.)

Just buy a cheap as chips car and no one will so much as look at it twice let alone steal it.

They all do the same thing anyway. It's a vehicle, not a fashion accessory.

Traffic Corps have it on their cars, rest of the fleet some have. They need the ANPR on every motorway gantry and on the approach and exit of each major town, they can then track cars all over the country. Perhaps a tad big brother.

Yes it has been in the country 10 years.
But it would flash up people for no insurance when they did have insurance and it was recking the guards heads using it and wasting their time.

This is going to be a scam involving an English owned company and a hotel conference room.

So how much was the "fee" you coughed up so to speak?

No-one from red rock or fair city is a "celebrity"

I think after you read that there was "a celebrity from Fair City" you should not have read any further.

Then it gets like the BB scenario across the water - truly a creepy feeling and the belt gets notched tighter every year as yet more surveillance systems get put in place.
All we need here is a measure to tackle the travelling robbers, and nothing more than that.

They have it since at least 2011. I taxed my car one Friday and got stopped the followinf week by the traffic corps. The transaction hadn't gone through but he was happy enough when he saw the disc.

Yes the system is only as good as the data fed in to it which is/was poor.

I suppose for a dodgy cop or operator it's a stalkers paradise but used correctly it would cut crime substantially.
