Is he only letting this lad on because he got complaints about how he treated the topic earlier in the week?

Point is Joe put John from Sligo on trial and put words in his mouth and twisted what he said.

This is despite the fact that Joe's researchers contacted John, not the other way around.

I picked a great time to take a drive to a meeting and tune in for some classic Joe being butt hurt and have another of his snotty rants. He now has the lines loaded.

"Nearly had a canary" is a well known (colourful) metaphor.....Joe shouldn't be pulling him up on that.

  • Registered Users Posts: 20,433 ✭✭✭✭2smiggy

He said "she nearly had a canary when she found out the child would be born in Newry" not that she should have had a canary

don't let the truth get in the way of Joes agenda

He didn't say she might as well have had a canary. He said she almost had a canary when she found she was still in the north as she wanted her baby born in Ireland south so she gets better benefits and more chance of staying.

Hope he gets the lawyers on to Joe and liveline

I wouldn't normally defend him, but he's spot on this time. The caller is a proper racist.

Typical Joe though - pull a caller up on something trivial and make it an issue.

That's up there with misquoting Seán Deegan on the "chancing their arms" remark.

HOW is he let away with it?
